I know that I have the ability to achieve the object of my Definite Purpose in life, therefore, I demand of myself persistent, continuous action toward its attainment, and I here and now promise to render such action.” -Napoleon Hill
We all know that if we want things to be different, taking action it’s imperative. But, what about those moments when it’s really hard to move ahead in a new direction? My suggestion is, don’t wait for motivation to strike.
Because of my positive outlook on life and since most of the time I’m smiling, very often people think that I have all figured out and that’s not the case. My smile is my payoff, and also my gift to others. My aim is to build good feelings daily, but last week was very difficult for me. I intended to remain in a place of strength, but I found myself unable to cope. Sadness won that round and I fell apart.
I just curled up in bed and oh boy, did I cry. I did! That day I just cried and slept. Tears are significant for healing. The next day, I woke up with the same sorrow. I just couldn’t stop crying! Despite how fragile I was feeling, I decided to drag myself out of the bed. I did some yoga, prayed, scheduled a massage, did several EFT tapping rounds, repeated more than a few mantras; and by the end of the day, I felt calmer. I stepped up to claim my serenity. Through my personal journey, I learned that taking action can help relieve despair. It’s in action that we can restore our energy.
