“If you’re going to create a breakthrough – if you’re going to reach the next level – you will need to move through fear, uncertainty, and discomfort. It’s your personal vision that keeps you in the game when things become difficult. A compelling personal vision creates passion.” ~Brian P. Moran and Michael Lennington
Times of transitions feel uncertain and unpredictable, yet we can learn to embrace those moments. What if you could see them as thresholds to possibilities?
Sometimes we find ourselves in situations where our whole being screams: can’t take it anymore! Still, we settle because we don’t have a plan or we don’t know what to do. But when we ignore that feeling we’re living against our own truth.
Between the no longer and the not yet
There were moments in my life that I had wondered if the saying happiness is a choice was true. My world felt gloom because I couldn’t see a better situation on the horizon. I didn’t know what comes next. All I knew was that I couldn’t stand it anymore. My heart and soul were telling me to leap into the unknown and trust the process.
I chose change even though I had no proof it was going to work. Even though my logical mind said I couldn’t do it. And every time my life was expanded beyond any expectation.
Nothing changes if nothing changes. It’s scary because is a place where you’re about to lose the security of the old and not yet attained the benefits of the new. Your heart and soul are telling you “no more of this” but you may find yourself asking, what comes next?

What if I told you that the life you’re living could be better? And what if I told you that you can awaken your inner power? The happiness we’re all seeking truly is inside of each of us.
Resilience refers to the ability to change to a new way of living when an old way is no longer possible. Dr. Chris Johnstone, a leading resilience trainer, has a process that helps translate dreams into practical action steps called the dream cycle that goes like this:
- Review – What’s going on? How are you doing? What are your concerns?
- Dream – What would you like to happen here?
- Plan – How can you take steps to move that way?
- Do – Take the steps.
- Review (again) – Any changes? The cycle starts again and each time it’s an opportunity for learning.
You have the ability to imagine your desired future in a way that motivates and guides your actions. You can choose to practice thinking and acting in a different way. You can build a foundation to thrive. The requirement: you must want the change to occur.
There’s hidden magic that resides inside you
Shannon Kaiser put if perfectly in her book Joy Seeker, “In order for things to change in your life, you have to see things as you want them not as they are.” Author Andrea Balt has a mantra that serves as a reminder: Create what must be. Create a compelling vision that moves you onward with excitement for the new. How would the next version of yourself handle this? What are you willing to do day in and day out to create your most elevated life?
