Many times in life we face storms that challenge our heart and our soul. Every time something like this happens, sadness and fear invade every piece of our soul and leaves it fragmented. In those moments, we may feel that joy is unreachable.
The first step to refocus our mind is to see downs in life as opportunities to grow. We must see them as a vantage point instead of a breaking point. Where can I find joy? This is a common question, but a more powerful one is: What can I do today to connect with joy? because no matter what is happening in our lives, joy is within each of us.
Simple ways to connect with joy are gratitude and kindness. When you feel grateful, you are joyful. If you treat yourself and others with kindness, joy will overflow. By emptying your mind through meditation, you embrace joy. Observing nature and spending time in it will lead you to a river of joy. Engaging in creative endeavors will open the gates of joy.
